Theme and Concept

Plan how the images in each part will work together to create a visual continuum. Consider the following options, for example:
Progression: A scene or subject that develops across the three parts, depicting a transformation or a sequence of events.

Fixing
Be aware of the fragility of the layers. Let oil paint dry between layers. If necessary, you can lightly use a workable varnish or fixative between layers to increase stability. The finished work should be fixed for display.

Work on all parts simultaneously: Instead of finishing one part at a time, work on all three at the same time. This helps maintain a consistent color world and technique throughout the entire piece.
Lighting: Good lighting is key to distinguishing subtle color variations while working.
Reference Images: Use reference images to help, especially in detailed landscapes or still lifes. For example, in a landscape painting, a picture of a single tree or branch can be useful.
